I apologize for not posting here. I am devastated, both by the end of my engagement and by a series of other losses I must grieve, and feel largely unable to write. I have written a few things I haven’t published, but either (a) I’m not satisfied with them at all, or (b) they feel too exposed. Though it is unlikely my ex-fiancée will look at this blog, much less read what’s written here, I am too anxious about the possibility to write about the experience except obliquely (see: Wildflower). Suffice it to say, I am at a nadir in my ability to write, and largely have had to spend my time resting and healing. Both good things I need to do, but not exactly creatively fulfilling. I will return to writing here, but I have to actually be satisfied and comfortable with a piece first.
I have published more photos on Flute & Lyre (fluteandlyre.wordpress.com), but that’s what I got in me right now. Thank you to the few folks who visit this blog, it means a lot to me that there are people who appreciate what I write.
